FreezerTrack ("we", "our", or "us") is a freezer inventory management app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Account Information

• Email address — used to create and identify your account
• Password — stored securely and encrypted by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never see your raw password
• Optionally, your Google or Facebook account details if you choose to sign in with those providers

App Data

• Freezer inventory items — names, quantities, dates, locations, and notes you enter
• Shopping list items — items you add to your household shopping list
• Freezer and shelf names — the locations you configure in the app
• Activity log — a record of add, edit, use, and delete actions within your household, including timestamps and the email of the user who performed each action
• Household membership — which household(s) your account belongs to

Payment Information

• If you purchase through the app store (Google Play or Apple App Store), payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• If you purchase via our web checkout (Stripe), payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and your account's user ID — no card details.
• We store your subscription status (e.g., trial, active, cancelled) in our database.

Device & Local Storage

• Theme preference (light/dark/system) — stored on your device only
• Webhook URL (if configured) — stored on your device only, never sent to our servers
• Last used freezer & shelf — stored on your device only

• To provide and sync your freezer inventory across devices
• To enable household sharing so multiple family members can manage the same inventory
• To send expiry reminder notifications (only if you enable them)
• To manage your subscription and verify access to the app
• To display your activity log and item stats within the app

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the FreezerTrack service.

We use the following third-party services to operate FreezerTrack:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your app data and account are stored on Supabase servers. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Stripe — web payment processing. Only used if you purchase via the web checkout. Stripe Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat — app store purchase management. Used to verify and manage purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Google / Apple — if you sign in with Google or purchase through Google Play or the Apple App Store, their respective privacy policies apply to those interactions.
• IFTTT — only if you configure a webhook URL. FreezerTrack sends shopping list item names to your configured URL when items are added to your list. We do not control what IFTTT does with that data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete all of your data at any time from within the app:

Settings → Danger Zone → Clear All Data

This permanently removes all items, freezers, shopping list entries, and activity log records associated with your household. This action cannot be undone.

To request complete account deletion, contact us at the email below and we will remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your database records are protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies, meaning each user can only access data belonging to their own household. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

FreezerTrack is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FreezerTrack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
